The Hotel : Tróia Design Hotel

DESIGN IN ITS PUREST FORM

Tróia Design Hotel is a 5-star resort with 61 luxury rooms and 144 residential suites where design is present in every detail.  Here the magnificent sea views are surpassed only by the mystery of the Arrábida Mountains. With 14 floors of residential suites and luxury rooms and a façade that communicates with the other side of the river using an innovative lighting system, Tróia Design Hotel leads the way in luxurious living.

The hotel includes a Spa with an indoor treatment pool and over 70 different treatments, a unique kids club offering both indoor and outdoor activities, 2 roof-top swimming pools - one with views over the ocean and the mountain and one childrens pool*, several restaurants and a lounge bar that are true design spaces, a Casino and Show Centre and a Conference Centre.

The project developed by Promontório Architects, maintains the concept of the original design by well known Portuguese Architect Conceição Silva,  elevating it to a more contemporary level.  Inspired by the nature that surrounds it, the hotels undulating façade becomes one of its defining features. The use of glass, concrete and chrome-plating with more modern materials such as wood and lacquer finishes is devine. The Interior Design also by Promontório showcases sophisticated, sleek surroundings, with clean lines that are both comfortable and welcoming.

* In low season, some of these services are closed.

State-of-the-Art Living

State of the Art living is Tróia Design Hotel.  Here, the best of two worlds exist side-by-side.  On the one hand, untouched nature and absolute peace and on the other, the excitement of the nightlife and the cultural activities on offer.

Tróia Design Hotel Collection

Amorim Turismo acquired several works of art to create the Tróia Design Hotel Collection. The first work of art acquired, entitled "Sandália Cinderela" (Cinderella's Slipper) by the sculptress Joana Vasconcelos, is an outstanding piece which defies arquetypes by using everyday materials (sterling pots) to construct a giant Cinderella Slipper. The Group also purchased an important work by Pedro Cabrita Reis - "The Blue&Green Suite", two pieces by Carlos Henrich and pieces by other outstanding contemporary Portuguese artists working in such diverse art forms as painting, photography and design.
